Welcome to

Hello new friend! Here’s a little about me so we can get to know each other!

I enjoy reading, writing and gaming (as you could probably tell). My favorite genre is sci-fi fantasy and I’m a huge Brandon Sanderson fan. Some of my favorite books include: Desperation by Stephen King, Intensity by Dean Koontz, Circe by Madeline Miller, Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson and The Atlas Six by Olivie Blake. When reading, I prefer the book to focus on character development rather than a grandiose story because usually only one or the other is done well.

The same can be said for my taste in video games. I want them to have well-developed characters, but on top of that it must be fun to play. A lot of games nowadays don’t have a real “incentive to play.” An overarching plot, snazzy cosmetics, gameplay differences and character/ player moments give people something to play for. Many live service games implement a battle pass to keep players engaged, but if everyone has the same cosmetics, what’s the point? When you have to go out of your way to find a cool weapon or unlock a customization option it gives the player a sense of accomplishment. Leveling up the battle pass doesn’t do the same thing for me. With all this in mind, some of my favorite games include: Pokémon Ruby, Dead Rising, Resident Evil 2 Remake, Inscryption, Spyro 2 Ripto’s Rage, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Scooby-Doo Night of 100 Frights. These games provide different things for me and many are nostalgic.

Everyone has different favorites for different reasons and no matter what others think, you should sing praises for the things you love. Art is subjective and some pieces won’t resonate with everyone. That’s why everyone’s perspective matters and I hope you are inspired to pursue your passion despite any haters like I’ve chosen to do here.

Special thanks to my best friend Bailey who helped with all the graphics and was my rock in creating this site. Without her support none of this would be possible. Thanks Bai!
